How do I start?
Your experience begins by filling out the hair extension application linked below. After filling out the application, we will meet in person to discuss your lifestyle, maintenance, and hair goals and match the perfect color extensions for you. One of our talented stylist will show you the variety of invisible bead extensions along with the other brand we carry. Then to move forward we will take and deposit and will set your appointment to install, color and blend your extensions to perfection.
IS IBE® THE SAME AS HAND TIED EXTENSIONS? Hand-tied extensions is the TYPE of weft used; IBE® is the method used to install the hair extensions.
HOW OFTEN DO MY EXTENSIONS NEED TO BE MAINTAINED? We recommend your first follow-up appointment at 7 weeks. At that time, your stylist will evaluate your grow-out and determine if you can go longer in between appointments. During your appointment, your stylist will remove your extensions, assess any adjustments that need to be made and reinstall the extensions. On average, one has their rows reinstalled between 8-10 weeks.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO PURCHASE NEW HAIR? Quality hand-tied hair will last on average 9-12+ months. With proper styling care and the proper use of professional hair products, you can easily get one year out of your hair.
HOW MUCH DOES IBE® COST TO GET INSTALLED? IBE® is not a one price fits all. Pricing is different for everyone and is dependent on many factors. Submit an IBE® Consultation Form for an estimate or book a consultation with one of our certified stylists!
CAN I WORKOUT WITH MY EXTENSIONS? Yes! Gym hair is best in a braid or ponytail. If you sweat excessively, we recommend prepping your hair the same way you would if swimming. After your workout, our go to dry shampoo is Goldie Locks Dry Shampoo Powder or R+Co Spiritualized!
CAN I SWIM WITH EXTENSIONS? Yes! You can swim with your extensions. Recommended doing so with a tight braid and leave in conditioner. Be sure to keep your extensions away from sunscreen that contains Avobenzone, as the chemicals can alter the color and quality of the extensions. We recommend using Goldie Locks Mineral Sunscreen to avoid this reaction
WILL THE EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY HAIR? No, the IBE® method focuses on the health of your hair and scalp to prevent any damage to your natural hair, the extensions will not cause any damage to your hair as long as they are maintained properly.
WHICH PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE TO PROTECT MY INVESTMENT? We recommend using Goldie Locks® or R+Co blue line. These products focus on enhancing the experience you can have with your hair, from the inside out. Not only does this product line encompass internal well-being and balance, but provides added support to those transformative results by offering an entire line of luxury hair care. WHICH HAIR EXTENSION BRANDS DO YOU OFFER? We offer hair from our favorite exclusive brands IBE ONE, The Reserve and Kitsune to provide the best quality results for your investment.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HAND TIED WEFT AND GENIUS/SMART WEFT? Hand tied wefts are sewn at the seam and cannot be cut without sealing and tying off the ends, these wefts must be completely dry after being exposed to moisture. A micro/smart weft is injected with a seal along the seam that allows the stylist to cut and customize the size of the weft without excessive shedding, these wefts can be left to air dry and are a great option for those who are active or prefer low maintenance.
